The proud crown of the drunkards of Ephraim is (A)trodden under foot.
And the fading flower of its glorious beauty,
Which is at the head of the [a]fertile valley,
Will be like the (B)first-ripe fig prior to summer,
Which [b]one sees,
And [c]as soon as it is in his [d]hand,
He swallows it.
In that day the (C)Lord of hosts will become a beautiful (D)crown
And a glorious diadem to the remnant of His people;
